I have seen the Badlands and all I can say is... well, I don't know what to say. It was like going to the surface of the moon. It was desolate and beautiful at the same time.
We decided that we just had to see Devils Tower (do-do-do-do-do). In the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" they say "This means something." After seeing it for myself and hiking around it I see what they mean. It is a sacred place to the Sioux. To me it felt like being in a cathedral. Lots of souls there. That one is for Renee and Kari.
Lori, I now have a new thing to look forward, checking your blog! I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to post the pictures and keep all of us who love you two, up to date! I can't tell you how many times a week I get asked how y'all are doing. This way I can quit telling them I think all is well, now I know! Keep traveling, I need something to look forward to! I am living vicariously through you! Love you both and looking forward to your next post!
